Translation
The art of translating implies transferring meanings in a text from one language into another. In this case, from English into Spanish and Spanish into English. In translation, we work with texts. Generally the client is in the search for this service when he/she has a text in either language and needs to have this content expressed in English or Spanish.
We must understand that when translating, we take into account concepts, ideas, not just words. It is wrongly believed that translation implies transferring words. Translation is the vehicle for communicating ideas between different cultures. This is why it is so important what we say and how we say it so that our readers feel we are addressing them directly. The objective is to create a text that sounds perfectly fluent in another culture.
How do we achieve that?
We can only have a high quality product by working with a linguist that has the experience, the practice and the knowledge. As a translator, I’ve been working, translating, reading and learning the field to be able to give my clients products of the finest quality, that suit perfectly well in other cultures and have the same impact as the source text. This is what sets us apart from Google Translate. As human beings, we are capable of creating a product that has the typical elements, syntax and traits of our readers in a different culture.
